We started L C Waders in the spring of 2000 after Dunlop closed their factory and transferred all production to Portugal.

With a freshly vacated site and an unemployed, yet fantastically skilled and experienced workforce the opportunity was to good to miss.

We started with a staff of 3 and as we had no customers we began to experiment with various materials and methods to find the best possible combination to ensure the excellent quality waders we still build today.

The operation was a fantastic success and we were planning a new, purpose build site when foot & mouth brought our world crashing down around us. We survived, somehow and are firmly on the road to recovery. Our customer base is bigger that ever and with the excellent word of mouth advertising and extra sales from eBay the future looks very bright indeed.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

As a fisherman I'm better qualified than most to realise how mad we all are. We look forward almost every waking moment to our next trip, spend thousands and thousands of pounds on the very best equipment and bait and when we finally have the opportunity to do what we love most we sit on the bank in a pair of ill fitting, uncomfortable waders that cut the blood off from the knee down.

The majority of waders bought today are imported from the Far East. They are made of poor quality PVC or rubber, have uncomfortable boots, won't last very long and only fit if you are 5'9" and 10 stone.

We use only the finest materials available and signed an exclusive deal with Dunlop Hevea to ensure we are the only company able to offer the brand new patented polyurethane boots. We build generous, comfortable waders for the discerning angler at affordable prices because I wear our waders and if they weren't good enough for me they wouldn't be good enough for you.
